What fresh hell is this?
Sheila Daube is an abstract artist from Southern California. Influenced by the mid-century American School she also credits her years as a preschool teacher as fundamental to her art. “I’ve been trying to paint like a five year old for years, trying to return to my original reaction to color and line.” Sheila is inspired by timeless themes from mythology while exploring unique mediums using foil and powdered pigments. Daube teaches classes in abstract art at Art on 30th in San Diego. Her work is found in private collections, been featured in national shows and is represented by Sylvia White Gallery in Agoura Hills.
